Email Marketing Strategist

Who we’re looking for

You have a great chance of being a good fit if you have prior experience managing email service provider and marketing software (Klaviyo experience preferred but not required) and strategically developing email workflows, as well as informing and measuring effectiveness utilizing data-driven insights. We’re adding an email marketing + SMS service to our mix, and in order to provide world-class services we need world-class email marketers! Our goal is to provide brands with email campaigns that reflect their personality and voice, grab their customers and potential customers, and introduce them to wants and needs they didn’t even know they had.

While this is a new position, email marketers are one of the pillars of the success of our email team. With a stable (and growing) client base of Google brands and Amazon brands, the opportunity to expand and develop with our email marketing service is immense. Core responsibilities include coordinating with an Email Project Manager and clients to develop the email marketing strategy, then implementing that strategy through the creation of engaging B2C email marketing funnels for a variety of eCommerce brands, including flows, campaigns, and popups.

Tailoring email flows to the proper subscriber segments at the right time to drive engagement, revenue, and customer lifetime value takes expertise and strategic thinking. Email marketers are part of the core of our email service and we’re looking for more wonderful team members who can help us grow!

The ideal candidate

Email Marketing Experience: A couple years of relevant experience strategically planning and implementing email campaigns and growing email lists is ideal for this role. It will be important to understand our clients’ brands and product lineup as well as their target and potential audiences so that the email strategy has the highest potential for success. In addition, we look forward to learning from your expert knowledge of the industry, consumer, and competitive landscape, which will inform insightful ideas and best practices.

Attention to Detail: As an agency, we tend to work lean. This does not mean that we overwork and understaff! We limit our middle management levels because we have confidence that every team member is conscious of the quality of their work. In this role, strategic planning and effective implementation will be vital.

Problem solving: A cardinal sin at our company is asking someone a question you could have answered yourself. We need people who are willing to “use their brains” and don’t mind rolling up their sleeves to figure it out. That doesn’t mean we aren’t here to support you, we are. But you’re expected to offer solutions and hurdle problems, not allow them to get in your way.

Salary, benefits, & growth opportunities:

The starting salary for this full-time role is $50,000.
